CONCLUSIONS
The understanding of the cultural phenomena that affect foreign language learning can be very useful to reinforce from the beginning of identity formed through the use of the mother tongue, effective communication in a foreign language. The understanding of cultural uses can give a significant turn to communication. We know that language, culture and thought are three parts of the triad of communication and must be in permanent interrelation since each one separately exerts a marked influence on the other or the other two. In this sense, for example, contrasting two cultures for the understanding of language uses has been proven effective in processes of appropriation of idiomatic expressions. The students who are most successful in foreign language learning are those who can establish cultural differences from the uses of the language as an advantage in the communication process.
